Parametric Modeling
Parametric modeling is how complex builds get resolved before fabrication begins. Dimension driven models let us stress-test structure, confirm hardware counts, generate accurate BOMs, and catch problems on screen instead of on the shop floor. The result is a clean, detailed model that fabricators can work directly from, optimized for CNC, welding, machining, or millwork depending on what your project needs.
Digital Sculpting
Where parametric modeling is governed by dimensions and constraints, digital sculpting works in the opposite direction. Free form, organic, and ideal for shapes that don't play well with rigid rules. Characters, sculptural installations, themed environments, staircase railings, parade floats. Anything with complex curves or artistic surfaces. Output is typically mesh based and ready for 3D printing or other computer automated fabrication.
Shop Drawings
Engineers can't stamp a model. Welders and woodworkers still need drawings on the shop floor. Good documentation isn't just a record, it's an instruction set for how a project gets built and installed, down to every detail and connection. With experience across weird and complex builds, Aesthetic Function produces drawing packages that leave fabricators with clear answers and fewer phone calls back to the designer.
Prototyping
Material choices and object scale can make or break a design, and clients often don't know what they want until they can hold something. Aesthetic Function can deliver prototypes and small production runs anywhere in the US, drawing on a local NYC vendor network and remote fabrication services.
